I recently had a meeting with his class teacher to see what we could do together to help him feel more a part of things in school. She was immediately very defensive and told me she didn't know what I expected her to do.Whether the pupils and parents think the staff are approachable and helpful. Thanks for your reply, it is nice to know that you had similar problems with children being quiet, you obviously understand where I am coming from.There are other primary schools in the area which do feed into the same high school, I don't really know much about them at the moment, but I am going to have a look around and see what I can find out about them.I have taken your much valued advice onboard especially about sounding out parents of other schools.The whole situation has started to get me down as I feel that I am banging my head against a wall, when all I want is for teaching staff to remember he is part of the class, especially when he is such a well behaved, undemanding boy.
